The first step is to submit your application and resume to Puddle Jumpers. We will review your qualifications and experience to ensure you meet our standards.

2. What qualifications do I need to work with Puddle Jumpers?

We require all nannies to have at least 2 years of childcare experience, be CPR & First Aid certified, have a clean driving record, and pass a thorough background check.

3. How does the matching process work?
​
Once accepted, we will match you with families that fit your experience, skills, and preferences. We will present you with job opportunities and help coordinate interviews with potential families.

4. What should I expect during the interview process?
You will have an interview with the family to discuss their needs, your experience, and any other relevant details. You may also have a trial day or two to ensure it’s the right fit for both parties.

5. What kind of support can I expect from Puddle Jumpers?
We provide ongoing support, including training and professional development opportunities, to ensure you are up-to-date with the latest in childcare practices. We also assist with contract negotiations and other employment-related matters.

6. Do I need to sign a contract?
Puddle Jumpers requires you use our contract to ensure laws and regulations are being followed, once you are matched with a family, you will sign a contract outlining your duties, compensation, and other terms of employment.

7. What kind of pay and benefits can I expect?
Compensation and benefits vary based on the family and the position. Generally, you can expect competitive pay, paid time off, sick leave, and other benefits as negotiated in your contract.

Process Timeline for Nannies

Step 1: Application Submission Submit your application and resume to Puddle Jumpers. Our team will review your qualifications and experience.

Step 2: Initial Consultation If your application is accepted, you will have an initial consultation with us to discuss your experience, skills, and job preferences.

Step 3: Background Checks and Certifications Complete the necessary background checks and ensure your CPR & First Aid certifications are up-to-date.
​
Step 4: Matching with Families We will match you with families that align with your experience and preferences. You will receive job opportunities to review.

Step 5: Interviews and Trial Periods Participate in interviews with potential families. You may also have trial days to ensure the fit is right for both you and the family.

Step 6: Specialized Onboarding Process Before starting with your nanny family, all nannies must go through a specialized and unique onboarding process with Katie Heiser. This ensures you are fully prepared and aligned with Puddle Jumpers’ standards and practices.

Step 7: Contract Signing Once matched with a family, you will sign a contract outlining your duties, compensation, and other terms of employment.

Step 8: Ongoing Support and Training Receive ongoing support from Puddle Jumpers, including training and professional development opportunities to ensure you provide the best care possible.
